Our Privacy Officer

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Table Menu Inc. has designated a Privacy Officer responsible for our compliance with PIPEDA and with our Privacy Policy.

Access requests

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you. To submit a request:

  1. Email privacy@tablemenu.app with the subject line “Access Request.”
  2. Include your full name, the email address or phone number associated with your account, and the name of the restaurant if you are making a guest request.
  3. We may ask for verification of your identity before releasing information.
  4. We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and respond with the requested information within 30 days. If we need more time, we will notify you in writing with a reason and a new deadline.

We may charge a reasonable fee for access requests that require significant effort to compile. We will notify you of any fee before processing your request.

Correction requests

If you believe personal information we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, email privacy@tablemenu.app with the subject line “Correction Request,” describe the information you believe is inaccurate, and provide the correct information. We will respond within 30 days.

If we disagree with your correction request, we will note your disagreement in the record and, where appropriate, forward your correction request to any third parties to whom the inaccurate information was disclosed.

Deletion requests

You may request deletion of your personal information by emailing privacy@tablemenu.app with the subject line “Deletion Request.” We will delete your information within 30 days, subject to our legal obligation to retain certain records (for example, order records required for CRA tax accounting purposes must be retained for 7 years regardless of a deletion request).

Privacy complaints

If you believe we have handled your personal information in a manner inconsistent with PIPEDA, you may file a complaint with our Privacy Officer using the contact information above. We will:

  1. Acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days.
  2. Investigate and respond within 30 days. Complex complaints may take longer; we will notify you if so.
  3. If we find the complaint is justified, we will take appropriate corrective action and notify you of the steps taken.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada:
